Treatment

Jim sits in his recliner in the living room of his two story house.  He stands up and grabs a bottle of whiskey he had sitting next to him.  He takes a swig and walks upstairs.  He looks into the room of his children that is now empty.  He remembers them laying on the floor coloring.

Jim remembers his family and remembers a time when he was playing football with his son while his wife is pushing his daughter on a swing.  He can hear them laughing and his wife calling for him.  He takes another swig of whiskey.

Jim then sees the day when everything changed.  He comes home from work and opens the front door.  He sees blood on the floor and walls.  His wife and two children are lying on the floor with blood smeared across them.  A man is standing there with blood dripping from his hands.  He turns and looks at Jim, his eyes a deep crimson red.

Jim is back in his house, clutching his face with tears streaming down.  Jim drains the rest of the bottle.   He throws the empty bottle to the floor, grabs his jacket, and walks out the front door with a look of pure torment.

Jim walks into O’Mally’s Pub and orders a shot of whiskey.  A strange looking man can be seen in the back of the bar.  The man sits and watches Jim.  Jim talks with the bartender about life and continues ordering shots.  After talking to the bartender for a while, Jim pays his tab and leaves.  He stumbles down the sidewalk back to his apartment.  Along the way, he hears the sounds of footsteps and growling.  A demonic dog appears.  The grotesque creature flashes his fangs, stained with blood, and stares at Jim with deep black eyes.  The dog attacks and Jim attempts to fight it off.  The strange man from the bar appears and shoots the dog with a gun that appears to have special ammo.  Jim passes out.

Jim awakes in a white square room.  Jim sits up and looks around.  The room has no distinguishing features.  The door opens and the strange man walks in followed by a woman.  They stare at Jim without saying a word.  Jim asks them what is going on and where he is.  They do not give him an answer.  The woman introduces herself as Stacy and asks him why he is interested in the supernatural and how to fight it.  Jim asks how they know and Stacy just stares.  Jim simply remarks about how he has his reasons and needs answers.  Stacy removes IVs from Jim while the strange man asks Jim if he really wants answers.  Jim confirms that he does.  Stacy and the strange man walk out the door while the strange man tells Jim to follow them.  Jim follows and the door slams closed.
